Cooling lubricants are one of the first market segments in which the Bloom absolute filter is used. This is a fundamentally relevant industry in terms of its various challenges which the prevailing state-of-the-art has not yet been able to meet adequately or at all. We are be able to offer Bloom absolute filters capable of conditioning cooling lubricants (water-immiscible and water-miscible as well as water-mixed).
Ultra-fine metal processing, i.e. metal-removing or machining applications to be more precise, involves a use of cooling lubricants whose servicing is crucial for the products' dimensional accuracy and surface quality. For this purpose, it is imperative for the lubricants to be as pure as possible.
So far, the Bloom absolute filter is the only one of its kind which can be freely scaled in terms of fineness besides being adaptable to specific applications.
Cooling lubricants (water-immiscible and water-miscible or water-mixed) need to be stored at appropriate locations and properly disposed of as hazardous waste after use. A use of oils (such as hydraulic oils) and cooling lubricants can cause ecological problems which arise mainly during metal cutting processes.
The Bloom absolute filter can entirely replace classical systems for filtering coolant lubricants, e.g. systems incorporating non-woven fabric bands.
Many expendable filters and filtration aids result in high costs, as do short service lives and system downtimes. These aspects can account for up to 25% of total production costs in high-precision manufacturing.
